• Operate and maintain equipment, such as chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders
• Assist tree climbers in the removal of trees and trimming of branches
• Perform general maintenance of trees and shrubs, including pruning and fertilizing
• Ensure safety procedures are always followed

• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred (training is available)
• Must have white card and working with Children check.
• Must have access to computer and be willing to undertake in-house training modules and client inductions, as and when required
• Must be able to pass regular drug testing
• Arborist certification preferred but not necessary
• Landscaping experience a plus
• Familiar with power tools, including aerial lifts, chainsaws, and woodchippers
• Valid driver’s license (Class C or MR, HR preferred)
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to learn quickly and to follow instructions

Tree Groundsmen are primarily responsible for hauling brush, branches, and wood debris from the tree to the truck, assisting the tree climber, using ropes, and various hand and power tools, and cleaning the job site.
